Ted received his B.S. in Biochemistry/Chemistry from UCSD in 2003. He spent his senior year in Dr. Komives´ Lab performing protein purification from both P. pastoris (yeast) and E. coli cultures, followed by binding studies of these purified proteins. He was involved with routine analysis using mainly ESI-TOF, he was in charge of the High Throughput Proteomics System, he has made significant contributions to a developing Scripps metabolomics website (http://metlin.scripps.edu), and he was involved in the skin oil metabolites research. Most of his spare time was spent with his girlfriend Liz, or running/hiking in various areas of San Diego.
