Eden received her Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from the University of Maryland and her M.S. in Chemistry from the University of Connecticut. Her dissertation focused on the surface chemical reactivity, surface stability, and mass transport processes involved in gas-surface interactions. Eden was involved in the development and optimization of porous silicon tailored for applications in mass spectrometry.
