Bridgit received her Ph.D in chemistry from the University of California Santa Barbara under Professor Mattanjah de Vries. She studied individual biomolecules and clusters using laser induced desorption from surfaces, photoionization, multiphoton spectroscopy and mass spectrometry. She was involved in endogenous metabolite characterization and metabolomics of immune response research.
