Proteomics is one of the most important applications of mass spectrometry. The Scripps Center for Mass Spectrometry offers a proteomics service that includes in-gel or in-solution proteolytic digestion, nano-LC-MS/MS or MALDI-TOF MS, and the identification of proteins based on database searching. The Center also characterizes post-translational modifications.
