- Sunia Trauger. Dr. Trauger is the Associate Director and head of the proteomics group at the Scripps Center for Mass Spectrometry.
- Gary Siuzdak. Dr. Siuzdak is the Senior Director of the Scripps Center for Mass Spectrometry and Professor of Molecular Biology.
- Oscar Yanes. Dr. Yanes is an expert in phosphorylated protein characterization.
- Zhouxin Shen. Dr. Shen is involved in quantitative proteomics research using multidimensional chromatography - mass spectrometry at UCSD.
- Michael Sykes. Michael works in the area of quantitative isotope pulse mass spectrometry research.
- Ewa Kalisiak. Ewa is an expert in proteomics analysis.
- Jon Apon. Jon is an expert in proteomics analysis.

The course will feature presentations covering current topics including:
- instrumentation basics
- sample preparation
- identification of post-translational modifications
- quantitative proteomics: label free and isotopic labeling techniques
- novel fragmentation techniques and top-down proteomics
