Mass Spectrometry Services
We offer a wide range of analysis on several types of mass spectrometers, such as MALDI TOF, ESI quads, ESI TOF, ESI QTOF and ESI ion traps. We can handle a variety of different compounds including small molecules, peptides, proteins and oligonucleotides. Our proteomics service includes in-gel or in-solution proteolytic digestion, nano-LC-MS/MS or MALDI-TOF MS, and the identification of proteins based on database searching, plus characterizing post-translational modifications if desired. We also offer GC/MS and have expert staff on hand to handle custom mass spectrometry and method development.
If you are comfortable working with a mass spectrometer, we have several instruments in our Open Access Lab available to all. It takes only a brief training session to get started. If you are ready to submit samples please sign up at CoreService.
Lipidomic Analysis
We analyze lipids by extracting and ionizing lipids from biological samples. We offer both targeted and untargeted lipidomic analyses.
MORE
Pharmacokinetics
A Scripps Research multi-core effort can provide a complete PK analysis service from drug administration to quantitative analysis.
MORE
Proteomics
We can identify proteins and post translational modifications using a procedure that includes digestion, nano-LC/MS/MS analysis and NCBI database searching.
MORE
Open Access Lab
Reserve time on one of our Single Quadrupole, ESI-TOF, or MALDI-TOF mass spectrometers.
MORE
Metabolomic Pathway Analysis
We offer Krebs Cycle (TCA) or Amino Acid analysis via HILIC chromatography using a triple quadrupole mass spectrometer with multiple reaction monitoring mode.
MORE
MALDI-TOF
Our MALDI-TOF service can provide up to unit mass results on a variety of compounds including polymers and small oligonucleotides.
MORE
Intact Protein Analysis
Proteins are analyzed via MALDI-TOF and ESI-TOF to provide m/z data. If you require protein characterization info on digested proteins we also offer Proteomics services.
MORE
ESI-TOF
We can provide High accuracy m/z measurements with mass errors of less than 5ppm in either positive or negative modes.
MORE
GC/MS
Our analysis is qualitative, giving chromatogram traces, ms spectra for all major peaks, and a library search. Best for compounds that easily vaporize and are kept in volatile solvents. Quantitative analysis is also available.
